    Okpella: How 3 SINOMA workers were arrested for alleged Conspiracy

    The Nigeria Police Force, Okpella Division, has confirmed the kidnap of a Chinese man and the arrest of there workers from a mining company, SINOMA in Okpella, over alleged conspiracy.

    According to one of the parents of the suspects, he said the report he received that led to his son’s arrest is that, the Chinese man who is a supervisor was called upon around 22hrof the day of Thursday, to check a faulty machine being used by the three workers at Ipobia, the chinese man was said to have made his way to the site late that night.

    The suspects father added that, getting to Ipobia where the workers are, while the Chinese man trying to troubleshoot on the machine, unknown gunmen discharged them with gun shot which led to all of them to run for their lives.

    it was later reported that the Chinese man was kidnaped by the unknown gunmen.

    According to our source, the three workers was later arrested by the Civil defense attached to the company, kept the suspects inside a container guard for two days in Ipobia before they were transferred to State CID in Benin this morning for proper investigation.

    According to another side of the story from SINOMA, the victim is an aged man and was said to be retired in two months time, kidnapping the man at this period is fishy.

    As at the point of this report, the abductors are demanding for One hundred million Naira of ransom to release the Chinese man.

    The family of the arrested suspects have been advised to involve a lawyer to file for their bail, because it’s bailable.
