    ……operations are still underway….

Early on this morning, local vigilante groups and Nigerian police collaborated to raid the alleged kidnappers’ hideaway in Edo State’s Iddo community.

Okpella TV said earlier today that the authorities got intelligence reports regarding the site before launching the operation.

A trustworthy source who talked with Okpella TV claimed that the police operation was initiated as a result of a tip that directed them to the kidnappers’ hideout. But before the entire operation was carried out, the kidnappers were able to get away.

The insider further disclosed that the abductors absconded with six captives. While the sixth victim escaped during the kidnappers’ attempt to move them, five of the victims are from Okpella.

The police retrieved the kidnappers’ motorcycles, which they claimed to have taken from further victims. There are currently measures in place to ensure the captives’ release.

It is believed that the kidnappers are in negotiations with the families of the victims as well as Iddo community officials.
